Challenge 1 Full Taff : 79 kilometers - that is 49 miles of a quest

Challenge 2 Half Taff : 41 kilometers - that is 25 miles of a quest

Both challenges require you to recruit a team of four superheroes, however in certain circumstances we can allow teams to have up to a maximum of six superheroes. Please register your team of four superheroes via the registration page on the website and then email the additional one or two member’s details to events@tyhafan.org

Although some superheroes are against time, you are not and therefore you can take your time in this event. The challenge is to raise sponsorship for Tŷ Hafan by successfully completing the individual cycling challenges safely. Times are not important. Please do not let your competitive spirit overtake you. Safety on the track and roads are of utmost importance. 

Yes, all superheroes must wear a helmet throughout the event. Superheroes will not be allowed to start the event if not wearing a helmet.

Please inform the Tŷ Hafan events team of any team changes in the run up to the event events@tyhafan.org

Team changes made after Wednesday 22 August should be made at registration on the day – please allow extra time on the day to make team changes.

We encourage you to try and find a replacement team member if possible, however if a team member is unable to attend at the last minute, teams of three can commence the event. However, a team of less than two members cannot start the event, event organisers will pair you up with another team at registration.

Challenge 1 Full Taff : Registration and start line is at theatr brycheiniog, Brecon.

Challenge 2 Half Taff : Registration and start line is outside Rhydycar Leisure Centre, Merthyr.

Yes, please ensure that you follow The Taff Trail - Route 8 and follow the additional yellow event signs. Please familiarise yourself with the route beforehand. For safety reasons you must follow the marshalled route.

Participants will receive a comprehensive guide via email approximately 5 days after registration, this will include your sponsorship form with team number and your event instructions.

*You will also receive a copy of your sponsorship form and fundraising pack in the post a couple of weeks after registration.

Spectators are very welcome at the start and finish lines. Please keep a good distance from the route itself and be watchful of travelling Superheroes.

Challenge 1 Full Taff - You must be 16 years old and over to take part.

Challenge 2 Half Taff - You must be 13 years old and over to take part.

We understand superheroes need to cover their identity but for safety purposes we ask that superheroes do not wear eye masks that obstruct their vision, long capes and excessive clothing materials on the legs that will get caught on their bikes.
