'Regal' fundraising at Glastonbury

Seventy staff from the King’s InterHigh international online school recently spent the weekend at the Glastonbury Festival fundraising for Tŷ Hafan, donating their volunteer fees for helping at the festival campsites.

Founded in 2005, King’s InterHigh, is an independent British international online school offering access to live and recorded lessons from anywhere in the world for primary, secondary and sixth Form students.

The colleagues who work for the school based in Crickhowell, Powys, are seeking to raise an incredible £9,000.

King’s InterHigh’s Hana Thompson, has supported Tŷ Hafan previously through her volunteer work at Glastonbury. In 2019, Hana and her team from Pontprennau Primary School in Cardiff, raised enough money to provide oxygen for the hospice for one year; she pledged to raise even more money in 2022, as she recruited more volunteers to donate their time.

Hana notes, “King’s InterHigh wanted to support children and families in Wales and Tŷ Hafan seemed like a perfect fit! We all had a wonderful time at Glastonbury – and we say a huge ‘thank you’ to all those who volunteered to raise so much money for our hospice!”

Congratulations to Hana and her King’s InterHigh team, and a big ‘thank you’ from all of us to you.
