Here at Tŷ Hafan we love hearing stories of what our supporters have decided to get up to to help raise money for us. We’ve had runners, swimmers, cyclists, skydivers, people wanting to grow their hair, and people wanting to shave it off. This week’s #familyfriday features one of our youngest fundraisers to date, Millie Counsell.
Millie, aged eight years old, realised how lucky she is to be healthy and active, and wanted to do something challenging to help other children. She chose to climb Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, something that would be quite a challenge for anyone. On Saturday 15 May, Millie braced the strong winds and summit temperatures of -6°C and successfully reached the top in three hours, before taking two and a half hours to make her descent.
Millie’s efforts raised a fantastic £430.00, and everyone at Tŷ Hafan would like to say a massive thank you to her for being so amazing.
If Millie has inspired you, or you’d like to know more about you can get involved with fundraising for Tŷ Hafan, check out our Fundraising pages or contact us at email@example.com or on 02920 532255.
