Starting today, Bro will be incorporating a ‘Talking Tŷ Hafan’ slot during its prime-time early evening ‘The Vale This Week’ show from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Broadcast once a month and available to listen again on demand, these slots will feature interviews with key Tŷ Hafan personnel across all areas of operation of the charity.
The series will kick off this evening with an interview with Tracy Jones, Head of Community Services and Partnerships.
Nathan Spackman, Operations Director at Bro Radio, said: "As the Vale's community radio station, we are all about promoting the work of charities, community groups and organisations in the Vale of Glamorgan. Tŷ Hafan is one of the country’s best-known charities and we are delighted to be able to bring our listeners closer to the work and fundraising of the Sully based hospice each month."
Maria Timon Samra, Chief Executive of Tŷ Hafan, said: "We are delighted and very grateful to be offered this opportunity to partner with Bro Radio, which enables us to talk all things Tŷ Hafan on a regular basis every month.
“Bro is a key media platform for the Vale of Glamorgan and with our hospice located in Sully, Tŷ Hafan has been at the very heart of this wonderful community since our late founder, Suzanne Goodall OBE, started fundraising to build the hospice some 25 years ago.
“Community and partnerships are what we are all about and we continue to expand our services to try to reach every child with a life-limiting condition, and their family, who needs our care and support, whether for respite or at end-of-life, at home, in the community or at the hospice.
“So we say thank you again to all the team at Bro! Please tune in on 98.1 & 100.2fm or go to https://broradio.fm for regular updates.”
