The theme of this year’s Volunteers’ Week is ‘A Time To Say Thanks’ - and my goodness, has there ever been a more appropriate time to say thank you?
We are so fortunate to have more than 500 volunteers supporting our charity. And although Covid has interrupted much of our regular volunteering activities during the past 12 months, you have nevertheless all done what you can to help us to get through the pandemic and for this we are eternally grateful.
As our Team Tŷ Hafan volunteers you are a very important part of our big extended Tŷ Hafan family and I am sure that you, like me, are incredibly glad that restrictions are lifting, and that we are able to start to see one other again in person, albeit still following Welsh Government guidelines, of course, as we return to the new “normal”.
So whether you volunteer at our hospice, shops, offices, handcrafted project, support us at events, or by fundraising, supporting us with our lottery or collection boxes, or if you are one of our ambassadors, trustees, corporate volunteers or staff members - from me, our Leadership team, our families who we support, and our staff and our Board, thank you for all that you do! We simply could not do what we do without you.
Do keep an eye out on our social media channels throughout the week as we’ll be sharing stories about our Superstar Volunteers from across different areas of Tŷ Hafan.
And please do continue to watch this space too because we have some exciting new opportunities in volunteering which we will be sharing with you soon.
Finally, as ever, if you have any questions please get in touch with the team at email@example.com
So please stay safe, thank you once again, and, hopefully, see you all again very soon.
