challenge 2, half taff- 41km, sunday 2 september, 2018
Get your capes on and fly the half taff from Merthyr Tydfil to Cardiff. Although only half the distance, we still require you to use all your powers to complete the significant 41km challenge.
Superheroes for challenge 2 will leave Rhydycar Leisure Centre in Merthyr Tydfil at 11:00am travelling the cycle route to Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, for a heroes welcome at the Tŷ Hafan finish line.
The challenge is open to teams of four superheroes and all cyclists must be 13 years old or above to enter. (Superheroes under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult).
All superheroes will receive a Superhero Cycle Challenge t-shirt medal and team goody bag for use during the event.
Registration fee = £10 per person - this only covers the costs for you taking part in the event
Suggested sponsorship target = £50 per person (£200 per team) – this goes towards supporting life-limited children and their families in Wales
Rhydycar Leisure Centre is a short distance from Merthyr Tydfil train station.
Of course, successfully completing the challenge is only half of your adventure. We are asking you to become a Tŷ Hafan superhero for us and that means aiming to raise a minimum of £200 a team to allow us to keep running the hospice for our heroes, the Tŷ Hafan families.
The most successful fundraising team by, 30 November 2018, will win a unique fundraising prize.
